Houthis announce ballistic missile strike on Lod Airport with ‘Palestine-2’ warhead

In a statement released on Friday, the Yemeni Armed Forces, Houthis, announced the launch of a ballistic hypersonic missile named “Palestine-2” targeting Lod Airport in the occupied city of Jaffa.

The statement described the strike as a “qualitative military operation” carried out by Yemen’s missile force in retaliation for what it called “the genocide committed by the Zionist enemy against our brothers in Gaza.”

According to the statement, the strike was successful and resulted in the disruption of airport activity and the movement of “millions of Zionist settlers” to shelters.

The armed forces urged people across the Arab and Islamic world to rise in support of the people of Gaza, calling the situation “a painful siege and a criminal aggression.”

The statement concluded with a vow to continue operations until the war on Gaza ends and the siege is lifted.

'Israel's Home Front Command reported earlier on Friday that air raid sirens were activated in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and several other areas following the detection of a missile launch from Yemen.

In a brief statement, the 'Israeli' army confirmed: “We have detected the launch of a missile from Yemen.”
