Blood Covenant: Iranian website raises $40M bounty to assassinate Trump

A shadowy Iranian website calling itself Blood Covenant, or Blood Pact, has sparked international alarm after announcing a USD 100 million bounty for the assassination of US President Donald Trump.

The platform claims to have already raised over USD 40 million from supporters, although the figures remain unverified and the site’s operators are unknown.

The campaign, launched in response to what it calls “American-Zionist infanticide” and threats against Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, describes its goal as delivering “justice” to those who have harmed Iran and its leadership.

The website declares, “We pledge to award the bounty to anyone who can bring the enemies of God and those who threaten the life of Ali Khamenei to justice.”

The website denies any affiliation with official bodies and frames its campaign as a grassroots response to years of what it describes as “US state terrorism.” One message on the site reads, “This campaign is not funding terrorism. It is funding the fight against U.S. state terrorism.”

Another post justifies the campaign in emotional and ideological terms, “Silent in the face of American-Zionist infanticide, assassination of scientists and high-ranking commanders… now they are worried about Trump’s life and are bewilderedly condemning the campaign.”

In an attempt to cool international tensions, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian distanced his administration from the any assassination campaigns during an interview with US media personality Tucker Carlson earlier this week.

“The fatwa of warfare has nothing to do with the Iranian government or the Supreme Leader,” Pezeshkian said.

The site offers no transparency about where the funds are coming from or how they will be distributed.
