The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced Wednesday that the death toll from the ongoing 'Israeli' assault since October 7, 2023, has risen to 57,012 killed and 134,592 injured.

In its daily statistical report, the ministry stated that 142 Palestinians were killed, including three recovered from under rubble, and 487 others injured in the last 24 hours alone as 'Israeli' bombardments persist across the Strip.

Rescue teams are reportedly unable to reach many of the dead and wounded, who remain trapped under debris or stranded in the streets, the ministry added.

The ministry also reported a sharp rise in casualties related to the controversial aid distribution mechanism established jointly by the US and 'Israel'. Since May 27, at least 640 Palestinians have been killed and more than 4,488 injured while attempting to collect aid, which is being distributed outside the oversight of the UN or other international organizations.

Critics have accused the 'Israeli' army of deliberately targeting aid seekers, forcing Palestinians to choose between “starvation and being shot.”
