Houthis claim hypersonic missile strike on ‘Israel's’ Ben Gurion Airport
Yemen’s Houthi movement claimed responsibility on Tuesday for a ballistic missile strike on Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv using a hypersonic missile.
In a series of televised statements, the spokesperson said, “We carried out an operation targeting Lod Airport in occupied Jaffa with a hypersonic ballistic missile. The operation successfully achieved its objective, causing millions to flee to shelters and halting airport activity.”
The group also claimed its drone force launched three additional operations targeting “sensitive sites” in Tel Aviv, Ashkelon, and Eilat.
The Houthi military spokesperson emphasized that the attacks were part of Yemen’s continued military support for Palestinians in Gaza amid ongoing 'Israeli' bombardments.
“The Yemeni Armed Forces will continue their support operations in rejection of the genocide crimes in Gaza,” he declared.
