Abu Obaida issues statement after deadly Hamas ambush in Gaza

Abu Obaida, spokesman for Hamas’ military wing al-Qassam Brigades, praised the group’s fighters on Wednesday calling their recent operations “unparalleled acts of bravery and courage.”

The statement came after a recent ambush against “Israeli” forces, which have claimed the lives of seven soldiers, per a statement by the “Israeli” military.

“Our fighters are presenting exceptional examples of heroism and boldness,” he continued.

“The latest ambushes are living images of history that prove the freedom fighters of our people are among the most courageous and self-sacrificing of the modern era.”

Abu Obaida warned that “funerals and the corpses of enemy soldiers will become a regular occurrence, God willing, as long as the occupation continues its criminal war against our people.”

He accused the “Israeli” government of deceiving its public and refusing to admit that it is “throwing its soldiers into the quagmire of Gaza for the sake of illusory political objectives.”
