Iran arrests 18 “agents of Israel" planning drone attacks: state media

Iranian authorities arrested 18 operatives accused of working for “Israeli” intelligence, Fars News Agency reported Saturday, citing an informed source.

The suspects were allegedly operating in the northeastern city of Mashhad, where they were preparing to manufacture and deploy attack and surveillance drones.

Authorities told Fars News Agency the agents were arrested before they could carry out any operations.

The Fars News Agency is a news agency in Iran managed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), one of the three branches of the Islamic Republic of Iran Armed Forces.
