Temperatures to climb across Jordan starting Tuesday
The hot air will continue lingering near Jordan, ArabiaWeather said in its latest weather forecast. The heat may retreat slightly at times and intensify at others, suggesting continued summer conditions with varying intensity in the coming days, but no heatwaves are expected.
Temperatures to Rise Starting Tuesday
Beginning Tuesday, hot air currently settled over the Arabian Peninsula is expected to extend closer to Jordan. As a result, temperatures will rise to levels 3–5°C above average for this time of year.
From Tuesday through Thursday, most areas will experience relatively hot summer weather, while conditions in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will be hot to very hot.
Daytime highs in major cities, including the capital Amman, are expected to range between the low and mid-30s°C. In the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, highs could reach around 40°C.
Additional Temperature Increases by the Weekend
Heading into Thursday and the weekend, temperatures are expected to climb further due to the continued presence of hot air near the Kingdom. Highs may exceed seasonal averages by 5–7°C, with hot to very hot weather persisting across the country.
Northwesterly winds will remain active in the afternoons and evenings, helping to slightly ease the heat but also raising dust, particularly in eastern and southern parts of the country.
