The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced Friday that its warehouse in Amman, located just a three-hour drive from Gaza, holds enough humanitarian supplies to support more than 200,000 people for an entire month.

In a post on X, the agency said that flour, food parcels, hygiene kits, blankets, and medical supplies are fully stocked and ready for immediate delivery. UNRWA stressed the urgent need for these supplies to reach Gaza without delay or obstruction.

Jordan, in ongoing international discussions, has reiterated the need for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and a swift end to the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in the besieged strip. The Kingdom continues to call for the full opening of all border crossings to allow immediate and sufficient humanitarian aid into all areas of Gaza and to enable UN agencies to distribute it effectively.

Jordan has also condemned what it describes as the 'Israeli' government's inhumane starvation tactics and emphasized that stopping these policies must be a top international priority. It warned that the brutality of Israeli Occupation’s assault on Gaza and its systematic starvation strategy have crossed all boundaries and violated every humanitarian and international legal standard, calling for urgent global intervention.
