Jordan to see final spring chill before temperatures rise Saturday
Jordan remains under the influence of a mild and humid air mass originating from the Mediterranean, with relatively cool and damp weather prevailing Thursday night into Friday.
According to ArabiaWeather, low clouds are expected to form overnight, leading to fog over the high mountain peaks, particularly in the northern regions. Residents in elevated areas are advised to dress warmly due to the chilly conditions.
Mild Friday Weather with Dusty Winds in the South and East
Friday’s weather is expected to remain springlike and moderate, with daytime temperatures hovering around seasonal averages. Low clouds will be more noticeable over the northern parts of the Kingdom.
Northwesterly winds are forecast to become active throughout the day, occasionally stirring up dust in the southern and eastern regions.
By Friday night into early Saturday morning, temperatures are expected to drop further, bringing cold conditions—especially before dawn.
A jacket or coat is recommended for those in higher elevations. Surface humidity levels are also set to rise, increasing the likelihood of fog formation over elevated terrain due to widespread low cloud cover.
Saturday: Warmer Conditions Mark End of Meteorological Spring
Saturday, May 31, marks the final day of meteorological spring, and a noticeable rise in temperatures is forecast as Jordan comes under the influence of relatively hot southwesterly winds.
Temperatures are expected to rise 2 to 4°C above the seasonal average, bringing relatively hot conditions across much of the country. In the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, temperatures will reach hot levels.
Winds will shift to become southerly to southwesterly at moderate speeds, occasionally becoming active and potentially stirring dust in southern areas.
