Jordan army intercepts two drones smuggling narcotics on western border

The Jordanian Armed Forces said Sunday that the Southern Command, in coordination with security agencies, foiled an attempt to smuggle narcotics using two drones along the Kingdom’s western border.

The statement said that Border Guard forces tracked and monitored the two drones before engaging them under the rules of engagement.

Both drones were intercepted and downed inside Jordanian territory, with the seized materials handed over to the relevant authorities for further investigation – the statement added.
