Daesh cell hideout raided in Aleppo, explosives seized, says Syrian interior ministry
The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced that security forces carried out a raid targeting a Daesh cell hideout in Aleppo as part of ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and maintain security.
According to a statement posted on the ministry’s Telegram channel, the Aleppo Security Directorate, in coordination with the General Intelligence Directorate, launched the operation against the Daesh cell.
The raid resulted in the arrest of four member of the cell, while security forces continue the operation to apprehend the remaining suspects.
The ministry added that clashes during the raid led to the death of one Public Security officer. The security team managed to storm the location and confiscate explosives, a suicide vest, and several Public Security uniforms that were in possession of the Daesh members.
The ministry emphasized that security agencies remain committed to monitoring and preventing terrorist activities, continuing their efforts to ensure safety and stability throughout Syrian territories.
