Burj Khalifa lights up in US flag colors in honor of Trump

Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building located in Dubai, lit up in red, white, and blue on Thursday night in a striking tribute to the United States and President Donald Trump.

The display came during Trump’s visit to the United Arab Emirates—his third and final stop on a regional tour. Earlier in the day, Trump was awarded the Order of Zayed, the UAE’s highest civilian honor, during a formal ceremony at Qasr Al Watan, the presidential palace in Abu Dhabi.

The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, also announced that the UAE plans to invest USD 1.4 trillion in the United States over the next 10 years in key sectors including technology, artificial intelligence, and energy.

Speaking alongside Trump, he praised the “strong partnership” between the two nations that he said had flourished under Trump’s leadership.
