Israeli Occupation strikes Damascus

"Israeli" air raids targeted areas near the Syrian capital Damascus on Wednesday, according to Syrian state media, following overnight clashes involving government forces and Druze fighters.

The official Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that “Israeli occupation strikes” hit the outskirts of Sahnaya, a town located just southwest of Damascus. The outlet did not provide additional information regarding casualties or the extent of the damage.

The airstrikes came hours after violent confrontations erupted between Syrian security personnel and armed members of the Druze community in the region — an escalation of long-simmering tensions. The fighting reportedly led to multiple deaths, though the exact toll remains unclear.

"Israel's" military had earlier announced that its forces had been authorized to hit Syrian regime positions if attacks on Druze communities continued.
