A senior official within the Ukrainian presidency told Agence France-Presse (AFP) that Economy Minister Yulia Svyrydenko is expected to visit Washington later today to formalize the deal. While the final draft of the agreement is still pending government approval in Kyiv, the source confirmed that the pact includes the creation of a joint investment fund with equal contributions from both countries.
The fund will reportedly operate on a "50/50" basis between Kyiv and Washington.
The US and Ukraine were expected to sign the agreement earlier in February when Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited US President Donald Trump in the White House, however, the two heads of state engaged in a heated argument, and Zelenskyy left the White House without signing the agreement.

Since then, the two leaders have cooled off and signaled on multiple occasions their willingness to renegotiate and sign the agreement.
