China urges readiness for ‘worst-case scenario’ amid rising US trade tensions

China has called for heightened preparedness for a "worst-case scenario" as trade tensions with the United States continue to escalate, according to official Chinese data released Friday.

In a statement, the Ministry of Commerce warned that the trade war between the two countries still carries significant risks. It urged relevant bodies to “enhance political awareness” and focus on risk prevention and management.
