Six killed in Thai police plane crash near Hua Hin resort

25-04-2025 10:53|Six people were killed Friday morning when a Thai police aircraft crashed off the coast of the popular tourist city of Hua Hin in Phetchaburi province, according to the national police.
Authorities said the plane, operated by the Police Aviation Division, plunged into the sea just minutes after takeoff during a parachute training exercise. All those on board were confirmed dead.
The incident has sparked shock within both security and tourism circles, prompting an ongoing investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
Phetchaburi's police emergency center reported receiving a distress call at 8:15 AM local time about the crash near a coastal resort. Rescue teams rushed to the scene immediately.
