Zelensky accuses Russia of violating Easter ceasefire with continued attacks
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russian forces have continued their attacks despite President Vladimir Putin’s announcement of a ceasefire in Ukraine for the Easter holiday.
In a post on X, Zelensky cited a report from Ukraine’s top military commander, stating: “Russian artillery fire is still being heard in several areas along the front line, despite the Russian president’s promise of calm.”

He added that Putin’s ceasefire declaration did not extend to Russia’s Kursk and Belgorod regions, where hostilities and strikes have continued.
Zelensky noted that while some areas have seen a decrease in activity, Russian attacks remain ongoing in others.
