Iraq declares full support for Jordan amid destabilization plots

The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Iraq’s full solidarity with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, affirming its support for Jordan in confronting any attempts to undermine its security and stability.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Ministry strongly condemned efforts to destabilize Jordan, describing them as a serious threat to societal peace and a blatant violation of national sovereignty and international law.

The Ministry emphasized that the stability of the Kingdom is a cornerstone for the security and prosperity of the entire region, stressing Iraq’s unwavering support for Jordan in facing current challenges.

The statement also reaffirmed Iraq’s commitment to strengthening fraternal cooperation with Jordan and working jointly to ensure security and stability per the principles of the UN Charter and international legitimacy.

It concluded by underscoring that Jordan’s security is an integral part of the region’s overall security, and called on the international community to take firm and decisive steps against any attempts to destabilize the Kingdom or the broader region.
