'Israel' releases ten Gaza detainees held since Jabalia siege six months ago

'Israel' released ten Palestinian detainees from Gaza on Monday, all in poor health, according to medical sources.

The group had been held for around six months following their arrest during 'Israel’s' ongoing military assault on Gaza, which has continued for over a year and a half.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Media Office reported that the freed detainees arrived at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, with serious health complications resulting from torture in Israeli prisons.

The office stated that 'Israeli' forces detained the detainees during the siege of Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza about six months ago.

According to media sources, the release occurred at the Kisufim crossing east of Khan Younis. The detainees were handed over to the Red Cross and transported by its vehicles to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.

Medical teams are currently conducting necessary examinations and evaluations of their conditions.

Last Thursday, 'Israel' also released 80 Palestinian detainees from various areas of Gaza without prior notice. Many were found to be in severe physical and psychological condition.

Earlier, 'Israel' had released hundreds of Gaza detainees as part of the first phase of a ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal that took effect on Jan. 19, 2025.

In return, Palestinian factions in Gaza released dozens of 'Israeli' detainees both living and deceased over several phases of the agreement.

However, on March 18, 2025, 'Israel' withdrew from the ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal after 58 days, resuming its military campaign on Gaza.
