Islamic Jihad targets 'Israeli' troops, seizes drones in Gaza
The Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, announced on Sunday that it shelled 'Israeli' forces stationed along the "Morag Axis" north of Rafah in southern Gaza and captured two 'Israeli' drones.
In a statement on Telegram, the group said it used 60mm mortars to target 'Israeli' military vehicles and soldiers operating in the area.
The Morag Axis is a strategic corridor separating Rafah and Khan Younis. Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) regained control of the area after resuming operations in Gaza on March 18.
In a separate statement, the Brigades claimed to have seized two 'Israeli' quadcopter drones conducting surveillance missions in central Gaza.
Earlier this week, the group released footage showing an explosive device detonating under an 'Israeli' tank in Gaza City’s Shujaiya neighborhood.
