'Israeli' Air Force commanders have threatened to expel around 970 reservists, including pilots, officers, and soldiers, unless they retract their signatures from a letter opposing the Gaza aggression.

The letter, signed by senior Air Force personnel, calls for an end to the aggression but stops short of urging refusal to serve.

Senior Air Force leaders have personally contacted reservists, demanding they withdraw their support or face dismissal. Despite this, only 25 signatories have removed their names, while eight others added their signatures.

The letter's authors argue that the Gaza aggression serves political interests, not security needs, a view shared by opposition members who claim the war helps Prime Minister Netanyahu maintain power. Air Force Commander Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar rejected the protest, stating that reservists who question the legitimacy of the aggression cannot fulfill their duties.

The situation comes amid ongoing aggression in Gaza where since the October 7 event, more than 50,000 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli Occupation, the majority of them women and children, while over 14,000 remain missing, according to Palestinian health authorities.

Netanyahu's government faces growing international scrutiny, including war crime investigations by the International Criminal Court.
