Southern Military Zone thwarts drug smuggling attempt

A military source from the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army (JAF) announced that the Southern Military Zone, in coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Directorate, successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle drugs using a drone on Wednesday evening.

The source reported that border guard forces in the Southern Military Zone detected and tracked the drone, applying the rules of engagement. They engaged the drone and brought it down within Jordanian territory, subsequently transferring the seized materials to the appropriate authorities.

The military source emphasized that the JAF is dedicated to utilizing all available resources to prevent infiltration and smuggling operations, ensuring the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
