"On the initiative of the president of the Republic, a call was organised today with President Trump" and the other leaders "to discuss the situation in Gaza", the Elysee palace said.

During the conversation, the three leaders and Trump emphasized the need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the swift and full delivery of humanitarian aid to the besieged strip. They also called for the release of all detainees.

The leaders stressed the importance of creating conditions for a viable political horizon, reaffirming support for a two-state solution and the need to mobilize international efforts to end the suffering of the Palestinian people and restore regional peace and security.

They also agreed to maintain ongoing coordination moving forward.

The call also touched on the need for intensified efforts to end the war in Ukraine and ensure global security and stability.
