Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the Houthis continue to expand their presence in Africa, increasing their strategic threats to Israeli Occupation.

The newspaper noted that "the danger is greater than what we currently see," pointing out that the Iran-backed group is expanding in key areas near occupied Palestine.

The report explained that the US is frustrated due to the limited impact of operations against the Houthis, while the group continues to send weapons to African countries including Somalia, Djibouti, and Eritrea, escalating their threats to Red Sea security.

In Somalia, the Houthis have expanded their cooperation with Al-Shabaab, an affiliate of al-Qaeda, including weapons exchange and training, boosting activities in the Gulf of Aden.

The group is also working to expand its control in Djibouti, which could threaten vital shipping lanes important to Israeli Occupation interests, according to the Hebrew newspaper.

In the Horn of Africa and Sudan, the Houthis are trying to solidify their strategic presence, which could help impose a blockade on Israeli Occupation. The report also mentions the Houthis' pledge to provide aid to Hamas in Gaza.

Danny Citrinovich, a researcher at the Institute for National Security Studies, confirmed that the Houthis pose a greater threat than just their operations in the Middle East, suggesting that their interests in Africa could have more significant effects on Israeli Occupation.

He added that the Houthi threat is not limited to the Bab el-Mandeb Strait but also extends to other countries in the region, such as Sudan and Eritrea.
