Social media platform X, formerly twitter, went back online after it experienced a significant outage which left users across the globe unable to access the platform.
Downdetector.net and other similar sites showed thousands of reports by users unable to access their accounts on the platform or view posts (tweets).
​X has experienced several significant outages over the past few years, impacting users globally.
The latest one was on March 10th of this year, when a massive cyber attack led to an outage affecting over 40,000 users. Elon Musk claimed at the time that the attack involved significant resources, potentially from a large group or nation. ​
