TV characters photoshopped as Jordanian election candidates go viral

Amid the heightened election buzz in Jordan, an unexpected nationwide meme phenomenon has taken the internet by storm.

Online users, primarily on X, have shared fake, photoshopped campaign posters of fictional characters, such as Walter White from the television series Breaking Bad, as well as Homelander from The Boys, passing as Jordanian election candidates.

The photoshopped campaign posters show the characters with fake Arabic names, and Homelander representing the Madaba Governorate and Walter White representing the Aqaba Governorate.

The online joke escalated when users photoshopped the campaign posters on Jordan’s streets, passing it off as real life.
