Hamas mourns spokesperson Abdul Latif al-Qanou, killed in 'Israeli' airstrike
Hamas has mourned the death of its spokesperson, Dr. Abdul Latif al-Qanou, who was killed early Thursday, March 27, 2025, in an 'Israeli' airstrike that directly targeted the tent he was in, in Jabalia, northern Gaza.
The movement stated that al-Qanou, who had remained in Gaza since the beginning of Israeli Occupation’s military offensive, was a symbol of resilience and dedication to his people and cause. It added that he carried the responsibility of his words and message with courage, defending the Palestinian cause and resistance until he was martyred on this sacred night of Ramadan.
Hamas affirmed that targeting its leaders and spokespersons would not weaken the resistance but instead strengthen its determination to continue the struggle until the liberation of the land and holy sites. The movement emphasized that the blood of martyrs would remain a driving force and inspiration for the resistance until victory.
Lastly, Hamas vowed to remain loyal to the martyrs' sacrifices and to continue on the path of jihad and resistance until liberation and the right of return are achieved.
