King Abdullah II marks Laylat al-Qadr with prayer for peace
His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan shared a message on the occasion of Laylat al-Qadr, the Night of Power, during the holy month of Ramadan.
"Peace it is until the rise of dawn,” His Majesty said, invoking the word of the Qur’an.
“On this blessed Night of Qadr, we pray to Allah the Almighty to accept our good deeds and yours, to protect Jordan and its people, and to continue showering us with His countless blessings.”
Her Majesty Queen Rania said to mark the occasion: "Lord, grant us hearts that reflect Your reverence, blessings that endure through Your grace, and souls that yearn for Your obedience."
Laylat al-Qadr, which is observed on one of the last ten nights of Ramadan, is considered the most sacred night in the Islamic calendar, a time for reflection, prayer, and seeking God's mercy.
