Woman dies in tragic car accident moments before iftar

A woman tragically lost her life this evening after their vehicle plunged into the waters of Kufranjah Dam in Ajloun Governorate, just moments before the iftar meal in Ramadan, according to local sources cited by Roya.

Her son was in the car with her and he is currently in critical condition.

The sources added that the woman lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and fall into the dam. Civil Defense teams rushed to the scene and, after intensive efforts, were able to recover the bodies of the victims.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, with calls for enhanced safety measures in areas near dams and hazardous roads, especially with increased traffic during the pre-iftar period.
