Search teams recover body of missing person found in well in Irbid

The Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson confirmed on Saturday that search teams had located the body of a missing man who had been reported missing since the previous day in the Al-Nu'aymah area of Irbid.

Upon receiving the report, the PSD’s East Irbid Civil Defense Directorate, along with the search and rescue team and support from the Ajloun Civil Defense Directorate and local police, initiated an intensive search operation.

The 50-year-old man was last seen in the area, and the search efforts continued for over 15 hours, covering dense forests and rugged terrain. To aid the search, two specialized drones equipped with thermal imaging cameras were deployed.

After an exhaustive search, the teams discovered the missing person in a well, 8 meters deep, in the region. Unfortunately, the man was found dead. Civil Defense teams promptly retrieved the body and transported it to a nearby hospital.

This tragic incident underscores the challenging nature of search and rescue operations in difficult terrain.
