Jordan’s weather heats up toward weekend

Temperatures are expected to rise slightly on Wednesday, bringing mild weather to high-altitude mountainous areas, while the rest of Jordan will experience warm conditions. Winds will be moderate from the southeast, occasionally picking up.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), temperatures will continue to increase on Thursday, with sunny and generally warm conditions. Some mid- and high-level clouds may appear, and southeastern winds will remain moderate, with occasional activity.

Warm weather will continue into Friday, with mostly sunny skies and scattered clouds at mid- and high altitudes. Winds will stay moderate from the southeast.

By Saturday, temperatures are expected to rise 10 to 12 degrees Celsius above seasonal averages. Most areas will experience warm conditions, with hotter weather in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba. Some mid-level clouds will appear over southern and eastern regions, while southeastern winds remain moderate.

• Dead Sea: 29°C / 16°C
• Gulf of Aqaba: 30°C / 17°C
