Hezbollah denies involvement in recent Syrian events
Hezbollah, the Lebanese political and militant group, denied its involvement in the ongoing events in Syria, urging media outlets to exercise caution in reporting news.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Hezbollah said that certain parties have been "deliberately associating the name of Hezbollah with the events taking place in Syria, accusing it of being a party in the ongoing conflict."

Hezbollah categorically denied these unfounded allegations, stressing that they have no basis in truth. The group called on media organizations to maintain accuracy in their reporting and to avoid falling for misleading campaigns that serve political goals and suspicious foreign agendas.
In recent days, regions in Syria, including the coastal areas, have witnessed clashes between security forces and remnants of the previous regime, resulting in casualties. Syrian Ministry of Defense spokesperson Hassan Abdul Ghani announced on Friday that full control had been restored over the cities of Tartus and Latakia.
On the same day, the Syrian Ministry of Defense deployed military reinforcements, including tanks and armored vehicles, to the areas of conflict in Syria’s coastal region following the violent clashes with remnants of the old regime.
Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa stated on Friday that security forces will continue to hunt down the remnants of the previous regime and bring them to trial. He emphasized that these remnants were attempting to undermine the security of the country.
In a recorded speech, President al-Sharaa added that the remnants of the old regime were trying to "test the new Syria, a Syria they do not recognize."
