Copenhagen names public square ‘Palestine’

The Copenhagen City Council has approved a proposal to name a public square “Palestine,” gaining strong support from council members.

Local media reported that 29 out of 55 council members voted in favor of the name change, which will take effect on April 1.

The decision reflects the Danish capital’s support for the Palestinian cause and serves as a symbolic gesture of solidarity.
