First Ramadan Friday draws 90,000 worshippers to Aqsa Mosque
The Jerusalem Waqf and Al-Aqsa Mosque Affairs Department reported that approximately 90,000 worshippers attended the first Friday prayer of Ramadan at Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite severe Israeli Occupation restrictions on Palestinian access from the occupied West Bank.
From the early hours of dawn, thousands of worshippers made their way to the mosque, creating a vibrant spiritual atmosphere within its courtyards.
However, their journey was marred by stringent "Israeli" security measures, with forces stationed at the mosque gates and throughout the Old City.
Despite the large turnout, many Palestinians were prevented from reaching Al-Aqsa as Israeli Occupation authorities enforced entry restrictions, denying access to thousands.
Meanwhile, tensions remain high as "Israeli" settlers continue their daily incursions into the mosque compound during the holy month of Ramadan.
