Jordan remains under the influence of unstable weather conditions on Friday, with cold and partly to mostly cloudy skies.

Intermittent rain showers are expected across various regions, with heavy downpours in the morning accompanied by thunderstorms and hail. These conditions could lead to flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas. Winds will be northeasterly and occasionally active, particularly in the eastern parts of the country.

The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) issued warnings about flash floods, thunderstorms, hail, and slippery roads due to rain, urging motorists to exercise caution. Reduced visibility due to fog is also expected, especially over high-altitude areas.

A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Saturday, though conditions will remain relatively cold with partly to mostly cloudy skies. By evening, rain showers are forecast in the northeastern desert, accompanied by moderate northwesterly winds that may occasionally become active, especially in desert areas.

On Sunday, temperatures will slightly increase again, with cool conditions persisting in most regions, while areas such as the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will experience mild weather. Scattered showers may fall in parts of the northeastern desert in the afternoon, with moderate northwesterly winds.

By Monday, another slight temperature increase is expected. Cold conditions will persist in most areas, while the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will remain mild. Clouds will appear at different altitudes, and moderate northwesterly winds will prevail.

Friday’s expected temperatures:

  • East Amman: 11°C / 7°C
  • West Amman: 9°C / 5°C
  • Northern Highlands: 9°C / 4°C
  • Sharah Highlands: 8°C / 5°C
  • Desert Regions: 14°C / 8°C
  • Plains: 11°C / 7°C
  • Northern Jordan Valley: 21°C / 13°C
  • Southern Jordan Valley: 22°C / 15°C
  • Dead Sea: 21°C / 14°C
  • Gulf of Aqaba: 21°C / 15°C

Residents are advised to remain cautious in flood-prone areas and take necessary precautions during unstable weather conditions.
