Weather forecast for the first week of Ramadan in Jordan
Raed Rafed Al-Khatib, head of the Jordan Meteorological Department, stated that weather forecasts predict a steady rise in temperatures over the coming days, bringing warmer conditions to several regions of the country.
Al-Khatib noted that scattered rain showers, possibly with thunderstorms, may occur late Friday night into Saturday, primarily in the north, with limited extension to central areas and northeastern deserts.
Rainfall chances should diminish by Saturday evening.
From Sunday, temperatures are projected to rise again. Weather models also suggest potential atmospheric instability by the end of Ramadan’s first week, which could bring more rain.
Al-Khatib assured that meteorological teams are closely tracking this weather system and will keep the public informed.
He added that winter officially persists until the vernal equinox on March 20, while Jordan’s rainy season typically extends into early May.
