Lebanese President Joseph Aoun emphasized on Thursday that the constitution and the presidential oath of office serve as a roadmap for building Lebanon. He highlighted the importance of cooperation among all parties to achieve this goal.

This statement came during his meeting with Ammar Houry, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Al-Birr and Al-Ihsan Foundation and the Beirut Arab University, and the accompanying delegation, at the presidential palace in Baabda, according to a statement issued by the Presidency.

Aoun also noted that Lebanon has "suffered from wars fought on its land by others, as well as conflicts among its own politicians and leaders." He stressed that the country needs a "period of political, economic, and security recovery."

In discussing the newly formed government's parliamentary confidence, Aoun expressed hope that there would be no obstacles to implementing its ministerial statement, stressing the need for unified efforts to build the state.

"The world is waiting for us, and we must prove our ability to manage the country's resources transparently and justly, preserving the dignity of all and strengthening trust between citizens and their state, as well as between Lebanon and the international community," Aoun added.
