"Israeli forces will not withdraw from Philadelphi Corridor," claims Eli Cohen

The Israeli Occupation's Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Eli Cohen claimed that Tel Aviv's demand to remain in the Philadelphi Corridor is a "security necessity."

He stressed that the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) will not withdraw from the border area between Gaza and Egypt until three main objectives are achieved.

In a statement on Thursday, Cohen said these objectives include the complete return of captives, removing Hamas from power, and fully disarming the Gaza Strip, according to his claims.

He further alleged that maintaining control over the Philadelphi Corridor is essential for security, stating that it is part of the occupation's strategy to prevent any future threats from the Strip.
