Trump: Zelensky to visit US Friday

US President Donald Trump stated today that he believes the United States will be able to broker a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine, ending the ongoing conflict. 

Trump also shared that he has been in talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin over the past two years regarding the possibility of peace in Ukraine. These discussions, according to Trump, have laid the groundwork for a potential diplomatic resolution.

In addition to the peace talks, Trump announced that a new agreement with Ukraine would focus on rare minerals, which the US plans to leverage for economic and strategic benefits.

The president further revealed that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will be visiting the United States this Friday.
