The Traffic Department has urged drivers to exercise utmost caution when driving on the airport road, particularly from the Al-Esal Bridge toward the Al-Mutlaq Bridge.

The department noted that visibility is limited due to the formation of dense fog.

Thick fog is now covering large areas of the capital, Amman.

Latest weather updates indicate the deepening impact of a very cold air mass of polar origin, with temperatures continuing to drop in the coming days. This will bring extremely cold weather with occasional rain and light snow on mountain heights.

Saturday

A significant drop in temperatures is expected, with extremely cold and cloudy conditions. Rain will intermittently fall in the north and center of the Kingdom, spreading to parts of the east and southwest. Light, scattered snow showers will also occur on high mountain elevations, with a slight and limited accumulation risk.

Moderate to active westerly winds will cause dust in desert areas.

In the evening, rainfall chances will decrease, but the weather will remain sharply cold.

Sunday

Extremely cold weather will persist, with further temperature drops. In the morning, there is a chance of light rain showers, which could be mixed with light snow, particularly over the mountains.

Occasionally active northwesterly winds will prevail, especially in the southern and southeastern regions.

In the evening, light rain and light snow showers will return over high mountain elevations, with very cold conditions continuing.

Monday

Temperatures will drop about 11-12°C below average, with extremely cold weather and partly to mostly cloudy skies. In the early morning hours, light rain and snow showers are possible, especially on the mountain heights.

During the day, the cold weather will persist with partial cloud cover.

By night, clouds will decrease, increasing the chances of frost and freezing in several areas, including the northern and central Jordan Valley.

Tuesday

The weather will stabilize with a slight rise in temperatures, though the cold conditions will remain, with some high clouds.

Moderate southeasterly winds will prevail, and at night, the weather will remain extremely cold, with a risk of frost and freezing in several areas.
