Hamas affirms it has no interest in keeping any bodies
Hamas affirmed its full commitment to all its obligations, stressing that it has demonstrated this through its conduct in recent days and that it has no interest in failing to comply or retaining any bodies in its possession.
The movement stated that it has received the Israeli Occupation’s claims and accusations through mediators, emphasizing that it will thoroughly examine these allegations and announce the results transparently.
Hamas pointed to the possibility of an error or mix-up in the remains due to the bombing that targeted the site where the family was located alongside other Palestinians.
The movement stressed that it would inform the mediators of the results of its investigation while also calling for the return of the body that the occupation claims belongs to a Palestinian woman who was killed in the airstrikes.
Meanwhile, Hamas official Ismail Al-Thawabta stated that the body of Bibas "turned into fragments after apparently mixing with other human remains under the rubble of a site deliberately bombed by the occupation’s warplanes," pointing out that the airstrikes were the reason behind the body's disappearance.
He added, "Netanyahu himself gave the orders for direct and ruthless bombing, and he bears full responsibility for her brutal murder along with her children."
