Hamas commanders claimed dead by 'Israel' appear at handover: Hebrew media
Hebrew Channel 14 reported that the commanders of the East and North Battalions in the Khan Younis Brigade, whom the 'Israeli' army had previously declared killed, were seen participating in the handover of the four 'Israeli' captives' bodies.
Hamas set up a platform for the transfer and displayed provocative banners, defying the demands of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, according to Hebrew media.
The Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ military wing, along with other Palestinian resistance factions, handed over the bodies of four 'Israeli' captives to the Red Cross in Gaza.
In an official statement, Hamas emphasized that the resistance ensured the dignity of the deceased and respected the feelings of their families during the handover, despite what it described as Israeli Occupation’s disregard for their lives while they were alive.
The brigades criticized Israeli Occupation for bombing captive detention sites, resulting in their deaths, and held the 'Israeli' government accountable for obstructing prisoner exchange negotiations.
They condemned 'Israeli' Prime Minister Netanyahu for attempting to shift responsibility for the deaths of the captives. The statement reaffirmed that prisoner exchanges are the only way to bring captives home alive and warned against using military force, which would lead to further casualties.
