Quds Brigades to release "Israeli" soldier’s remains in exchange deal

The armed wing of Islamic Jihad, Quds Brigades, has announced it will release the remains of "Israeli" soldier Oded Lifshitz as part of a prisoner exchange deal.

According to group spokesperson Abu Hamza, the remains were handed over on Feb. 20, 2025, as part of the seventh phase of the deal’s first stage.

Abu Hamza claimed Lifshitz was among detainees killed by "Israeli" airstrikes during the “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle, accusing "Israel" of deliberately targeting captives.

The exchange process continues amid ongoing negotiations.
