Names of six Gaza captives to be released by Hamas announced

The families of six captives held by Hamas in Gaza have been informed that they will be released on Saturday. 

The group includes Avera Mengistu, Hisham al-Sayed, Omer Wenkert, Eliya Cohen, Tal Shoham, and Omer Shem Tov.

Prime Minister's Office officials confirmed that Hamas will release the six captives and also transfer the bodies of four deceased individuals on Thursday.

All captives were captivated by Hamas during the Oct.7 event except Hisham al-Sayed who was help held captive on April 20, 2015. 

Who Is Hisham al-Sayed?

Hisham al-Sayed, was 27 years old when he wandered into southern Gaza and was captured by Hamas on April 20, 2015. Al-Sayed, a Bedouin-"Israeli", had been allegedly suffering from severe mental health issues at the time, including schizophrenia and a personality disorder according to the Jerusalem Post.
