Hariri congratulates Syria's new president, hopes for strong ties

Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa received a congratulatory message from Lebanese politician Saad Hariri, expressing a positive reception in Lebanon following Al-Sharaa's assumption of the presidency.

In his message, Hariri conveyed optimism regarding President Al-Sharaa’s ability to achieve the aspirations of the Syrian people, who have fought for many years to realize their goals.

Hariri also emphasized that "Al-Sharaa's presidency symbolizes Syria’s liberation from a brutal regime that had inflicted corruption and crimes across the country."

Hariri expressed hope for the establishment of friendly relations between Lebanon and Syria, aiming to serve the interests of both peoples and erase the scars left by a dark chapter in history, one that he believes has now come to an end.
