Authorities: One dead, another rescued in Irbid cave collapse

The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate announced that the specialized teams from the Civil Defense Directorate in East Irbid responded on Monday evening to a report about two individuals trapped under rubble inside a cave in El Mansoura area, Irbid Governorate.

He added that the teams made significant efforts to free the individuals from under the debris and provided them with necessary first aid.

Unfortunately, one of the individuals succumbed to fatal injuries, while the other sustained minor injuries that did not require hospitalization.

The deceased was transferred to Yarmouk Governmental Hospital, and an investigation into the incident has been launched.
