'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that neither Hamas nor the Palestinian Authority would have a presence in Gaza after the war, stating on Monday that he is committed to US President Donald Trump’s plan for a “different Gaza.”

Meanwhile, Netanyahu’s office denied reports that "Israel" is facing US pressure to send a delegation to Cairo for negotiations on the second phase of a prisoner exchange deal. It insisted that any future negotiations would be led by "Israel’s" political leadership.

This came in response to a report by Channel 12, which suggested that Washington is working behind the scenes to secure a broader settlement, viewing the current deal as a crucial first step.

The report claimed that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in his meetings with Netanyahu and other top "Israeli" officials, stressed that refusing to negotiate was not an option.

This reportedly led Netanyahu to reluctantly agree to send a delegation to Cairo, though with limited authority to discuss only the continuation of the first phase, without addressing the second.

Sources indicated that "Israel’s" security chiefs had pushed for sending a delegation to discuss the next phase of the deal, but Netanyahu initially resisted before eventually conceding under pressure.

High-level talks are expected to take place in Qatar in the coming days to discuss the next steps of the agreement.
