King receives US Congress delegation

His Majesty King Abdullah II received a delegation from the US Congress on Sunday, headed by Senator Richard Blumenthal.

His Majesty emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership between Jordan and the US and the commitment to enhance it in all areas.

The King stressed that achieving a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution is the only way to ensure the region's security and stability, highlighting the pivotal role of the US in supporting peace efforts.

His Majesty reaffirmed Jordan's rejection of any attempts to annex land or displace Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, calling for the sustainability of the ceasefire in Gaza and the strengthening of international humanitarian response.

The meeting was attended by the Director of His Majesty's Office, Alaa Batayneh.
