Authorities issue weather alert for upcoming hours

The Public Security Directorate (PSD) has urged citizens to take precautions as unstable weather conditions are expected in Jordan over the next few hours and days.

The Directorate noted that the weather will bring dust-laden winds and the potential for flooding, emphasizing the importance of following safety guidelines to minimize risks.

Citizens are advised to avoid areas near valleys and flood-prone regions, refrain from crossing roads on foot or by vehicle if water levels rise, and drive carefully in the southern and eastern parts of the country, where heavy dust is forecasted.

The Directorate also reminded people to call the emergency number 911 if any urgent situations arise.
