Jordan reiterates support for Palestinian state as only path to peace

Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi reaffirmed that establishing an independent Palestinian state along the pre-June 4, 1967 lines, based on the two-state solution, is the only way to achieve a just and lasting peace in the region.

Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, Safadi stressed that Palestinians have the right to remain on their land and should not be displaced. He called for the equal application of international law to all parties.

He also noted that during discussions with King Abdullah II, former US President Donald Trump assured that the US would not cut aid to Jordan. The king emphasized that the establishment of a Palestinian state is the key to regional security and stability.

Safadi further highlighted that they are working on an Arab proposal aimed at rebuilding Gaza without displacing its residents.
